Cell Line Description

Derived from a patient with early onset Alzheimer disease and cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA), carrying a 6.5 Mb microduplication of the APP gene locus on chromosome 21. This is an EBV-transformed lymphoblastoid cell line.

Culture Medium

RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 20% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).

Subculture Routine

Maintain cultures between 300,000 to 900,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37°C
