The Fixed-Angle Specular Reflectance Accessory enables you to obtain a spectrum of any flat, reflecting surface on plate or sheet material. Includes Flat Reference Mirror and three Aperture masks (2 mm, 5 mm, and 10 mm) This accessory is compatible with the Spectrum One/100/400/65, Spectrum Two, and Spectrum 3/Frontier spectrometers.

Good quality spectra can be obtained from films on glossy flat surfaces, shiny paper, metallic surfaces, and semiconductor wafers such as silicon and germanium using the PerkinElmer Fixed-Angle Specular Reflectance Accessory. You can also obtain high-quality spectra of surface-treated materials, coatings, thinly lubricated surfaces, resin, and molded plastic surfaces.

In semiconductor technology, Fixed-Angle Specular Reflectance is the technique of choice used to map the thickness of epitaxial layers on semiconductor wafers.
