The XEN Cannabis Kit A is a single-well, multiplex qPCR assay that detects DNA from Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus fumigatus, Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus terreus, Salmonella spp, and Shigella Toxin E. coli (STEC). Cannabis genes are used for internal control. Following nucleic acid extraction, the targets are amplified by real-time PCR (qPCR) and detected via fluorescent dye (FAM, HEX, Cy5, Cy5.5, and TxRed). Compatible with a wide range of thermal cyclers and robotic liquid handlers. SeqOnce recommends SeqOnce Amplification Kit or SeqOnce PLUS Amplification Kit. Xen Cannabis Kit A may be useful for screening absence/presence of targeted pathogens, and identifies specific pathogen when a single pathogen is present. The real-time thermal cycler must be calibrated for Cy5.5.
