Cell Line Description

Spontaneously immortal cell line established from a primary transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder. Derived from a female patient.

Culture Medium

2/3 DMEM:1/3 RPMI + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).

Subculture Routine

Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:2 i.e. seeding at 2-4x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C. The medium must be changed to fresh medium every 48 hours.
