Tris-EDTA buffer solution

Tris EDTA buffer is commonly used in molecular biology for reconstitution and storage of many precipitated biomolecules, including DNA and RNA. Tris-HCl is a commonly used buffer and EDTA is a metal chelating agent. TE buffer solubilizes nucleic acids while protecting the molecules from degradation.
