Polyvinylpyrrolidone Mounting Medium

Is it sterile: NoAladdin's Polyvinylpyrrolidone Mounting Medium is a non-toxic water-based sealing solution using polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP) as the main sealing medium, which can be used for conventional sealing of various slices and smears. The main active components in the PVP sealing solution are PVP and glycerol. After the sealing liquid is used, it can also be observed directly under the microscope without using the cover glass. When PVP dries, it creates a protective film on the surface of the sample. The PVP sealing liquid is almost one of the most easy to use sealing liquid, it is relatively difficult to produce bubbles, the sealing liquid has better fluidity, and the sealing liquid is convenient. After the sealing, cover the cover slide, which will be adhered to the slide well.Precautions：Be sure to tighten the cap after each use to avoid water evaporation and microorganism contamination of the PVP Mounting Medium. Excessive water evaporation will cause the mounting medium too viscous to be used.After mounting with the PVP Mounting Medium, the refractive index of the mounted slide increases with the evaporation of water, which usually affects the observation of the unstained part of samples, but not the stained part of samples.This product is for R&D only. After staining and washing, remove and discard the wash solution.b. Add one drop of PVP Mounting Medium on the glass slide, cover with a coverslip with adherent cells allowing cells contact with the medium, and avoid the production of air bubbles.c. Examine cells by a microscopy.2. For tissue sections:d. After staining and washing, remove and discard the wash solution.e. Add one drop of PVP Mounting Medium onto the tissue section on a glass slide, cover with a coverslip and avoid the production of air bubbles.f. Examine cells by a microscopy.3. For other samples:Refer to the methods described for either adherent cell samples or tissue sections.
