N-Lignoceroyl taurine is one of several novel taurine-conjugated fatty acids discovered during mass spectrometry lipidomic analysis of brain and spinal cord material from mice. Studies have shown that while N-lignoceroyl taurine is a substrate of FAAH, it is hydrolyzed 2,000 times more slowly than oleoyl ethanolamide by FAAH.
