In SHR-SP rats losmapimod improves survival, endothelial-dependent and -independent vascular relaxation. Also losmapimod attenuates dyslipidemia, hypertension, cardiac remodeling, plasma renin activity (PRA), aldosterone, and interleukin-1 (IL-1 ). Losmapimod produces antidepressant and antipsychotic effects.
