Kobusin is a bisepoxylignan isolated from the Pnonobio biondii Pamp. Kobusin is an activator of CFTR and CaCCgie chloride channels and a inhibitor of ANO1/CaCC (calcium-activated chloride channel) channel. In VitroKobusin could activate the function of CFTR and CaCCgie (CaCC expressed in gastrointestinal epithelial cells) chloride channels. Notably, Kobusin could inhibit the activities ANO1/CaCC chloride channel in ANO1/CaCC-expressing FRT cells. MCE has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.In VivoIn charcoal transit study, Kobusin mildly reduced gastrointestinal motility in mice . MCE has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods.
