SHEEP IGG-TECHNICAL GRADE FROM SERUM (C005B-223559)

General description

IgG antibody subtype is the most abundant serum immunoglobulins of the immune system. It is secreted by B cells and is found in blood and extracellular fluids and provides protection from infections caused by bacteria, fungi and viruses. Maternal IgG is transferred to fetus through the placenta that is vital for immune defence of the neonate against infections
Purified Sheep IgG is isolated from pooled normal sheep serum by fractionation.

Application

Technical grade sheep IgG may be used as an economical alternative to the reagent grade immunoglobulins, in applications where high purity is not required. Sheep IgG was used as negative control in 293T cells (human embryonic kidney cells) and Madin-Darby canine kidney (MDCK) cells at a working antibody dilution of 1:40.
