The Human Factor XIIab was activated from homogeneous Human Factor XII using Dextran Sulfate. This Dextran Sulfate was removed after activation. Complete activation was observed on SDS-PAGE.Extinction Coefficient (1%) = 14.1The above protein was purified from Human plasma units that test negative for antibodies to HBc, HCV, HIV 1/2, HTLV-I/II, and non reactive for HBsAg, HIV-1 RNA, HCV RNA, HBV DNA and Syphilis by FDA approved tests. Donors are screened for CJD.
