DWK Life Sciences (Kimble) Surface Tension Apparatus, Range 0-100

Surface tension leads to the phenomena of capillary rise or depression. The general procedure is to introduce positive pressure in the apparatus to induce capillary depression, and to introduce negative pressure to induce capillary rise. The surface tension is calculated based upon the measurement of capillary rise and depression.

• Capillary tube is positioned in the center of the outer tube by means of a rubber stopper.

• The surface tension analyzer consists of a glass capillary tube of 0.5mm nominal ID, graduated from 0-10 cm in 0.1 cm increments, a glass cylinder with tubulation, and a rubber stopper.
