COLOUR HYGIENE TEST STRIP

General description

The HY-RiSE^® Color Hygiene Test Strips allow for rapid, qualitative determination of surface cleanliness and hand hygiene. It is also suitable for use in testing C.I.P. (Clean in Place) rinse water for contamination.
Test results are available in 4 - 5 minutes and require no equipment. Results are presented as a color change on the test strip, making it easy to determine clean (Pass) and dirty (Fail) results. Surface cleanliness is determined by measuring product residues, e.g. from food and beverages, left on surfaces after cleaning. Measurements made with this test strip can provide early warning of possible contamination on specific surface areas allowing immediate corrective action. On visibly clean surfaces the test can reveal the presence of product residues invisible to the eye, therefore indicating the hidden potential for microbial growth.
The HY-RiSE^® color hygiene test measures the product residues in the form of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotides (NAD, NADH) and their phosphates (NADP, NADPH). Regular use of the HY-RiSE^® provides a simple and effective means for monitoring standards of cleaning as part of an integrated hygiene monitoring program.

Application

HY-RiSE^® Color Hygiene Test Strips are suitable for assessing surface cleanliness and hand hygiene, as well as C.I.P. (Clean-in-Place) rinse water contamination. Typical applications include assessments of food and hand contact surfaces, e.g. worktops, slicers, cutting boards, fridge handles, microwaves, ovens, etc.
