Cell Line Description

Susceptible to Feline leukaemia virus. There is the possibility of low level secretion of Feline endogenous retrovirus (RD 114). The cells should be handled under laboratory containment level 2.

Application

Virus and cloning studies: FeLV, Feline endogenous retrovirus

Culture Medium

DMEM + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).

Subculture Routine

Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:4 to 1:5 i.e. seeding at 2-4x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin; 5% CO2; 37°C.
