4-Methylchrysene is a methyl derivative of chrysene, belonging to the class of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), ubiquitously present in the environment. 4-Methylchrysene is found as a contaminant in smoked food products.
Application
4-Methylchrysene may be used as certified reference material for the quantification of the analyte in sediment samples using two-dimensional gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry.
