Standard rectangular Macro cells are the most common type of spectroscopy cell and are used for routine UV/VIS analysis. Eachcell has a standard inside width of 9.5 mm and a base thickness of1.5 mm. All Macro cells contain two clear windows.

Cylindrical cells are used with spectrophotometers that have a larger, circular light beam. Each cell has an outside diameter of 22 mm and an inside diameter of 19 mm. Each package contains one cell and two windows.
